The 5 Dimensions of Health: The Energetic Dimension
You are energy. It can be a hard concept to wrap your mind around, but the reality is that you and everything else in the vast expanse of the universe are composed of energy.
Think about it. Your physical body has systems that are composed of organs and tissues. All of those organs and tissues are composed of cells, which are composed of molecules, which are composed of atoms.
And what are atoms made up of? Protons, neutrons, electrons, and the even tinier packets of energy called quanta. In other words, all of those atoms are composed of particles of energy that are vibrating at specific frequencies.
Every cell in your body also creates a bioelectrical current and acts like a little radio station, sending and receiving information. Each organ produces its own bio-electrical field, and the body as a whole produces a bio-electrical field, often referred to as the biofield, that can extend several feet from the body.
Scientists are also beginning to confirm what healers around the world have known for centuries. There are energy pathways and energy centers distributed throughout the body. When one or more of these pathways or energy centers become weak or blocked, physical symptoms are sure to follow.
Keeping your biofield and energy pathways strong and vibrant is just as important as maintaining your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Signs of stress within the biofield or energy pathways can include:

Simple Ways to Clear and Protect Your Biofield

Grounding - Walk on grass, soil, or sand barefoot, or get your bare hands in the soil to help draw negative ions into your body, which has a very POSITIVE effect on your energy pathways and biofield.
Time in Nature - Walk through forests or spend time near rivers, lakes, waterfalls, or the ocean.
Rain & Thunderstorms - Open your windows or go outside after rain showers or thunderstorms to take advantage of the increase in negative ions they produce.
